But traditional circles have real problems: they rely entirely on trust, they're limited to local groups, and when someone defaults, the whole group suffers.
Chord solves these problems by locking circle rules in place so nobody can change them. Collateral protects members from defaults. The marketplace provides liquidity. And the entire system is transparent and verifiable.
